Kind of.
Here in WI 70 is nice...in Ug it means cold.
As I am home, I am able to share stories and raise support for projects.
The projects are so exciting and I am so passionate about it....but it is totally not what I thought I would get excited about.
For instance:
For one ox and plow to help a Tegot family dig their gardens AND to minister to other families in need and share the gospel with them.
$275
One chicken -either an egg laying or frying chicken - to provide protein for malnourished families
$5
Audio proclaimers of the New Testament recorded in ACHOLI that run on solar power
$30
One goat to feed a family and reproduce to get more
$20
Renting land to grow food for kids in our program or start a cotton field to sell
$50 an acre
Hiring Tegot members to dig, weed, plant an acre of land
$100
Water filtration system where about two families can share so whatever water they have nearby (streams, puddles, etc.) can turn into safe drinking water and train/create a business for a Tegot team!
$600
A new water hole that will be drilled by people from Tegot
$2,500
Ok, so this is just SOME of the stuff....seems like things are moving and ideas are flying...ALL to bring God glory. He is the center of it. Meeting physical needs of people and training them to rely on themselves ultimately teaches them love, dependence on God alone and joy. Lives transform ONLY when the gospel is put into action with love and joy.
Please pray with Team Gulu, ECM and me on all of these neat developments. Want to come and visit? Want to train? Want to financially support? Have other ideas? SHARE!!
Together we can share the love of Christ, build up the Kingdom and make our God smile cuz we get it. ;)
Pak Rwot!
