Remember the lady we found drunk on the side of the road a few weeks ago?
Last week we saw her and stopped to greet her. She looked awesome and sober! We scheduled with her to come and visit for today.
So today, we visited with her. Granted we were a bit late and she was concerned we weren't coming....but we came. All eight of us.
She found some beat up mats and we sat and talked a bit. I prayed the whole time we were talking to her. Eyes open of course. Asked Erik if we could switch seats so I could sit face to face with her. Chatted a bit.
Then I felt that it was time to share the Gospel. And I did with Pato's help. While I was sharing people would come in and out. And her neighbor, Charles, came. He listened.
I asked Angela if she wanted to receive Jesus. She said she was ready.
Charles, then spoke up. He said he had a vision that we were going to come and that he needed to receive Jesus and he wanted to change his life of drinking for a full life in Christ. He was hungry and ready to receive Jesus.
So they both came, Charles kneeling hands raised and Angela crouched and hands high, and we all put our hands on them and prayed with them. Simon led them through the prayer of salvation.
They both became new creatures in Christ.
I just sat next Angela on the dirt holding her sideways and holding one of her hands afterwards. She leaned in on me and held my hand back. It was like we were friends forever, just sitting there...though she is 22 years my senior. I just couldn't NOT sit by her and hold her hand. I also couldn't help but hug her. :)
We then prayed, praised/worshipped and talked about meeting more often to disciple them. Charles especially wants to be discipled. PRAISE GOD! He is the first man Team Gulu has led to Christ....and more to come.
I am soooooo grateful we found Anglea drunk in a ditch a few weeks ago.
I am even more grateful she has a new life.
AGH!! SOOO COOOOL!!
Pak Rwot!!!
