Otherwise known as Merry Christmas, in Acholi...well, if you take it literally cam means eat, ber means good....so Eat Christmas well!! :)
First, HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Stacy....one of my best friends who is one of the closest people in my life for about 29 years now....she really is my sister, not friend. :) Miss you! Love u!!!
Today was a day of preparing for the Christmas party tomorrow. It will be an awesome party....
Packed rice and sugar for gifts....I can count to 52! Picked up pineapple and did staff family deliveries...can't share exactly what it was all about since my delivery goes to my family tomorrow....just wait. Let me tell you, we are a bunch of crazy people at Team Gulu...but we love Jesus more than anything and want to show the love of Christ to ALL!! We are fun. Ha.
While Simon and Pato were delivering the tent to Tegot for tomorrow's program, Mary, Sharon and I were able to spend some good time together. We made two field trips: capati and the post (no packages yet! BOOOO...not to be mistaken with boo). She really is an awesome woman of God. To hear her stories and testimony just bless me. She is so open and honest...she loves the LORD soooooo much. Her and her husband, Patrick, are such a great testimony of God's love for those who remain faithful to Him. I am so glad she is my friend, but more than that, I am glad she is my sister.
Came home and was inspired to CLEAN!! I swept everywhere. I picked up the plastic carpets (vinyl like material that goes over) and found a lot of gunk...and mold. So I had to throw some of it out. Some even had tears in it...so I cut up the pieces I could use and tossed the rest. I have to say, not a huge fan of plastic carpet (sorry Sarah and Melissa!). I then decided to mop....I got the kitchen, hallway and living room done...just in time for the furniture to come. Yes, the man at Tegot said that 6 chairs and one bigger loveseat like chair will be done tomorrow. PG!!! Excited for it...took him long enough....but for $15 I will have authentic wood chairs!! Anyways, the house is mopped...will do the bedrooms and dining room later...need to organize. Kitchen is a little better organized, too. Took the "table" and put it back in the kitchen to use as storage. It makes sense if you see it...which you will once I clean up.
We also bought 54 pineapples but received 60 for being such good customers...lol. Wow. Amazing. Shared with Cosmas...then he invited me to come for dinner sometime to his house next week- which is apparently 100 meters away...didn't know that. But that might mean 600 meters in Acholi...lol.
Now, I am waiting to donwload my pics to walmart.com. I want to make sure ECM, my mom, brother, aunts and grandma can see them - they don't have facebook. Anyways, it is taking a long time...but it will be worth it.
Tomorrow is our big Christmas party. Parents will be there!! We will have a nice dinner, presents and the gospel message to share with all children, parents/guardians and the headmaster from Tegot. It will be sooo awesome. I am excited...I will be sure to share!!
Today, I am so grateful that God decided to use me...little ol' me to do His work. How did I find favor in His eyes? All the times I messed up....and yet, He still places me right in the middle of His work. Amazing. I am in awe. It just makes me want to know Him more....to do more for Him...to bring others to Him...it is cool.
Thanks, Jesus. :)

Kosmas really does just live like 100 meters away. It's behind the blue apartments and to the right. :) Also... I don't blame you about the carpet...I wasn't a big fan after I cleaned under them one day either. They were Miriam's idea. :P -Sarah
