Whales

I had the craziest dream last night...

I was living in my old house (now my brother's) and my next door neighbor was my pastor from home (PK!!). At his home, in the basement, was a whale in a box with wood frames and water in it.

Ya, what is that about?

Ok, just wait....

Today, we got ready for Saturday Club. Laker's eye was seriously infected so Simon took her and Evelyn to the clinic in town. Pato, Erik and Nymchika took over Saturday Club with Mary. Christine, Ash and I went into the village to meet the parents of Susan, Solomon, Gloria and Oscar....

Found the sweetest family known to Tegot...from mom to dad to all the children...

....and what a story.

Mom has been a believer for about 10 years now. In the meantime, dad, Richard, was a serious alcoholic and even beat mom, Evelyn. Well, last year, and a month, Richard came to know the LORD. His life is TRANSFORMED. And his wife looks at him with such love in her eyes it is unreal. When he looks at her, you can just tell he thinks she still is hot. ;) I asked each one what do they appreciate the most from each other...she said his ability to provide and budget for the family and he said that she is social and welcoming to people.

As I was praying on how to direct the conversation and what scripture to share, I felt God leading me to Jonah. No clue why. I asked Richard if he knew that story and he did. So I asked him to share it, since I was not sure where God was going with it. I then told him I felt God was telling me that this relates to him because he is to share the gospel with his family, friends and old drinking buddies and God is telling him to do it! Now, Richard could be like Jonah and run or do what God is asking of him...I told Richard I don't want to see him in a fish's belly...that I believe he is to lead people to Christ, that his testimony is amazing and needs to be shared. Ash mentioned how he should not worry about who accepts what he says or not, but to do it in obedience and let their hearts deal with God. He agreed and wants to learn more and share.

We then prayed.

As we were praying...I rememberd my dream...I think God wants Richard to lead/pastor people and be bold....I laughed in the middle of prayer with little tears in my eyes. Joyful tears of course. How funny is God?

We are going to meet on Tuesday....he will ask friends and family members who are not saved to come. He wants to know more scripture....and his sister-in-law, who was wearing a rosary, took it off when we took a picture. She said she didn't want that anymore...that she wanted the real God.

HA!

Oh, boy....God is cool..................

Lock up that whale and do what God says....yup....I choose that....what about you?
What is God telling you to do? What are you refusing to do? Go? Be?

Watch out for the whale....it ain't pretty...really, it is better to just avoid the whale and be obedient...

But that is your choice.
