She has been in the hospital two times…yesterday, she was admitted again. She had headaches, body was swollen, couldn’t move or speak, literally could touch her and she would wince in pain. Ask her to squeeze your hand and she could barely form her hand around yours.
Yesterday, we didn’t visit.
Today we were on our way…but the vehicle was drawn in silence – VERY unlike Team Gulu. A heavy spirit was in the air and the awkwardness could closely be described as first time meetings – yet we have been a close family for 6 months.
Walking on Lacor Hospital grounds as group but hearts separated, we stopped. Felt God saying Mary should pray over the group. No way could we enter in this spirit and expect healing. Mary grabbed the hands of the two people next to her….next, we all were holding hands in the courtyard, praying for one accord in heart, spirit and mind. Heaven shook ever so slightly and responded…
She finally came out of her room after Simon led a prayer for a dying elderly man and his family. However, before she came out, Christine and I both walked. We felt the LORD prompting to ask deeper questions for we were told that the issue at hand was untreated because medically nothing was wrong with her even with the physical ailments. All tests pointed to nothing. All excuses pointed to something psychologically. Christine and I knew it was deeper. I felt the story of Dinah being laid on my heart. I thought I heard rape. I did see Dinah running, crying, devastated and abandoned by her father.
She was sitting on the bench next to her mother when Christine and I returned after talking and confirming each others’ insight from the Holy Spirit. Her eyes were down-casted, hands in front of her swollen not able to move. Asked her to speak and she couldn’t even breath out the words. Was told she hasn’t been able to speak for some time now. Her eyes were distant. Distracted. Numb. Caught in a prison.
Mary asked her if she would be willing to talk to us alone without her mother. She nodded. Mary beckoned for me to come over and Ashley sat next to her. Off to the side she had Ash on her right, Mary to her left and me before her on my knees with my palms up resting on her lap waiting for her to simply place her hands on top of mine.
We talked. Boldly spoke the gospel, truth and authority over her life. Witchcraft was done on her. Father completely abandoned her. Both factors threw her into a jail cell she never thought she could get out of and was eating her flesh and soul away. She was abandoned by her father – she felt physical pain from the emotional abandonment. She did hear her Father’s voice though….
She started smiling when we told her Jesus will set her free.
Amado (Stand up)
She stood. Ash, Mary and I stood around her. We all held hands – all holding hers as well.
Mathew 10 Jesus called his disciples. He summoned them. He them gave them authority to cast out evil spirits, demons, and heal. He sent them out with instructions.
We prayed in authority of Jesus Christ. His blood cleansing her. His power casting out all evil spirits. His healing hand strengthening her. Saw the blood of Jesus washing her white. Saw the demons chained up, thrown out and banned from ever attaching themselves to her. Authority.
As we were praying her hands got a firmer grip on ours. She was holding our hands – no longer limp.
She was released. She was healed.
She smiles. She walks.
And she gives a STRONG hand squeeze…it actually hurt.
The healing, the smiling, the hope, the strength…Doctor thanked us for healing their patient.
No, thank Jesus. He healed her.
We were just obedient and freely gave what was freely given to us. Authority.
She is Jane. A beautiful daughter of God who is healed and will give absolute glory to Jesus.
