Let's just say the above women have reignitated my heart for the LORD's will in my life and just general concept of love. To see lives transform...wow. To hear testimonies...wow. To see hearts owned by Jesus...wow.
I am grateful there was no fuel for a good amount of time last week. I am glad that power was out for four days. I am grateful.
Because of no fuel, we had an amazing time of prayer, reflection, and study on God’s Word and basking in His presence as a staff on Thursday at my house. If we had fuel we would not have done that. The LORD taught me that we need to be in serious prayer more often as a group. When I mean prayer – I mean the type where it just takes a chunk of time with no limits. Just allowing the Spirit to move. Nothing else planned for the day.
Power was out for the past four days, so I have been able to read this amazing book instead of internet. It is on church planting: Church Planting Movements: How God is Redeeming a Lost World by David Garrison. It is the most influential books I’ve read, besides the Bible, of course. My heart is being molded and I see how God wants to use me. It is amazing.
I realized early on how grumpy I could be with those two things out, but it dawned on me after the women’s conference the first day, that if no fuel and power wants to stop me from moving the kingdom’s population that I just need to find other ways to be faithful. And be grateful for the earthly interruptions to use for God’s glory.
I can remember for about a year now desiring desperately the gift of healing. Always Christ-centered, I do have to say there was a bit of me that just wanted healing to prove God and to stop pain. I have been growing immensely in the gift of healing knowledge over the six months. My heart has truly changed and moved towards desiring desperately the gift of healing to bring the lost to full knowledge and lordship of Jesus to people’s lives. I’ve personally been involved with one that opened the door for a person to eventually come to Christ and one that gave glory to and will be a witnessing tool for others to see and know His goodness. I realized that I didn’t fully believe like I needed to…He tells us to believe and with that He gives us FULL authority to cast out demons, heal the sick….come on now. As I was sitting in the midst of my doubt, I decided that I was going to stop doubting. Just STOP. And FULLY believe. I told Him that, too. Let's just say, He is faithful. :)
The women's conference truly healed the hearts of our mothers....I no longer call them Mama (then their child's name), rather, I call them by THEIR name. They are identified with Christ and he knows their name. Jennifer, Jeniffer, Evelyn, Rose, Grace, Grace, Monica and Beatrice are ALL sister in the LORD. Jennifer and Grace fully accepted the LORD and Beatrice and Monica recommitted their lives to the fullest. Evelyn has snatched these women and has already quickly and lovingly taken them under her wing. She even had Monica spend the night at her compound Friday to make sure she would come Saturday. HA! Anyways, these 8 women are fully transformed and healed. Their testimonies are amazing. They have forgiven those who have hurt them and want to walk in the power of the LORD. SWEET! I am so excited to see how God will continue to work in their lives. I just have to say that witnessing all of this just blows me away. I mean now we all give hugs and are real friends...real sisters. Oh, tears just come...
AsI am reading this book about church planting, my heart has caught the fire to share the gospel and make disciples of all nations. I see the light, the cross over the country of Uganda...the heart of Africa...Jesus wants to be known here. There is an explosion ready to happen here in Gulu...in Tegot....and how it has consumed me....
Traveling in the market today we saw Nymsicka and his aunt, Mary. We were told she was in pain. I immediately asked my group to go and pray over here. Kent and I went in between the market sections, behind the counter, and we prayed over her while the rest waited. We prayed. We asked questions. We saw what was holding her back. Kent heard freedom and I heard sadness. We then pursued what was holding her back and making her sad, burdening her. She told us. We told her she could have freedom from this if she gave it to Jesus and believed he could heal her. We prayed. Hands on the chest and back. Praying in His name for healing. For the blood of Christ to heal her. Let's just say she has praises to give and testimony to share. ;)
Lastly, I will be setting up meetings with sponsors when I am back May/June. If you would like me to come and speak or meet with you or anyone else you know, please let me know!!! I would LOVE to share what God is doing in Gulu!!!!!
Cuz let me tell you, it is a lot cooler when I can tell you the full story. ;)
