Push Pull

My new friends Kent and Becky shared their ministry philosphy of work hard (push) and retreat back into rest (pull).

I have been doing A LOT of pushing lately. No complaints. But these batteries need to pull back and recharge.

And thank you immigration for giving me that opportunity.

See, I need a new type of visa - a special visa....cuz I am that special...kidding...I will be considered a resident of Ug and will be able to move in and out of the country no problem with this visa. It is because I work here. I now will live here. Ha - like I wasn't before. It is only till our NGO status becomes official and I get my official work permit. My friend Marshall from the Immig office was VERY helpful, knowledgeable and fast. He remembered me as well - and he might come up and visit Tegot to see what we are doing someday since his family is from Gulu. Sweet.

Anyways, this special visa will take until Tuesday....I could have someone pick it up for me...but I think I will pick it up myself and rest in Kampala. Yes, people,I said rest. I need it.

I am reminded, by Kelly, about Jesus' time of rest:
"After sending them home, he went up into the hills by himself to pray. Night fell while he was there alone." Matthew 14:23

He had to rest and be alone. There isn't a day that goes by that I am not ministering in some way...from Tegot to neighborhood. I need some complete rest. I need to be alone. I need to hear His voice comforting me. I just need Him.

So I am going to do that.

I think I might live by this Push Pull Philosophy....Push really hard in ministry for a designated time (you actually have to plan it out) and then pull back to rest. Let's see how this works. It actually makes sense for me considering I really don't get days off....and I want to be the best for God and to glorify Him fully....

Found a way to fly Gulu to Entebbe for cheap... PG :)
