If I soak the beans for a day and a half it takes 20 minutes to cook them...PHEW!!!
Also, found a good market down the street from my house....it is actually on the way to Tegot tucked behind some shops...NO ONE told me muzungo prices. I got the right prices...which made me happy and want to shop them more. So if things are not at Tegot I have a new market and don't have to wait until Tegot gets it...PG!!! So I stocked up on dodo and bought magadii (sodium bicarbonate that makes the cooking faster and the foods softer). I am making food for Robert and Maggie tomorrow to prove my cooking skillz. I already proved myself to Team Gulu. Here is how I know how:
Pato, as he was eating my food, asked me if he could ask me a serious question...I said sure. He asked me if I had a maid (someone who cooks and cleans) back in America...I said no, I did my own cooking....To that he replied no wonder I can cook so well. HA!
So Laloyo is working....we did end up renting a van and driver to get to Tegot while Simon waited for the mechanic to get done so he could come pick us up. It all worked out. It does stress Simon out, so pray for him because it does frustrate him. But in the end it worked out. We had four volunteers come, the seamstress to fit the students for uniforms and Big Girl Sharon. :) We were able to even transport the food from Akello Christine's home to school. PG!!
So for some crazy reason, Oyella and Laker are now my bff's. I think it is because their little sisters, Lydia and Innocent respectively, are my best friends....they both are three and follow me around, sit on my lap and just cuddle. Oyella was SUPER cuddly after lunch....it made me laugh. What also makes me laugh is that the kids are now expecting hugs from me after a handshake...some even initiate it. Some, like Alimocan Brenda, knows what it meas when I put my arms out and runs to give me a hug. Boy, what awesome kids.
We visited Ogen Rwot Emmanuel, the sponsored one, not the just-born one, for our family visit. Mama Emmanuel invited us in and then sat down to start singing praises to God...it was a sweet way to open up. I like worship. :) Anyways, she is extra

I am so exhausted lately...my allergies have been bothering me, haven't been sleeping a lot, working a lot and just always doing stuff....no complaints but my body is done. And I still need to come up with a sermon for tomorrow - see, I am preacing at Pato's church...it is traditional for a guest of a church to speak. So since I asked Pato and Vicki (the women's pastor) if I could come to church with them sometime, they said yes...and then Pato asked me what I was going to preach on.
Oh pray with me that I get that done well for Him!!!!
