Best Saturday Club To Date

For real.

I think I've figured out that the headaches I've been getting are dust induced...each day it gets worse...each day I have more red dust in my nose and ears...and probably my stomach and lungs...which would explain the headaches.

With that, Anna recommends I put a fan on my forehead to blow the dust away from me....oh, Anna.

BUT today, I woke up with the song "Your Love is Amazing, steady and unchanging..." and then the "Hallelujah! Hallelujah - you love makes me sing!" Oh I wish I knew the name and writer of the song!! If I were home, I would run into the Underground and look in the files....

Just waking up singing Hallelujah sets the day right...I need to do that everyday.

I can't even explain how awesome today was. We were so organized (due to our QUICK and AWESOME meeting on Thursday), on time and so filled with the Spirit it was GREAT! We had a guest come today, David, who volunteered over the summer. But it was just such a great day....Simon taught on the story from Genesis about Abraham and Isaac; Pato did some awesome games and physical education to get the kids active; Mary and I did profiles - we got seven new kids to get sponsored - that means 43 more to go before June!! Then Mama Oyella made the BEST meal EVER for the children. It consisted of rice, beans, and boo. We also had pineapple....YUM!!! She did such a great job and the kids LOVED IT! It was so much better than the rest of the stuff we used to get and it is better for them AND supports a family business! She is such a sweet lady...

Mama Kwo-Tek looks AWESOME!!! On my way home dropping Pato off, we both decided to stop by and see how she was doing. WOW!! She was laughing, looked like she was gainig weight, hair nicely pulled up and her chart concurred what we were seeing!! She will probably be discharged on Monday with NO SURGERY!!! We hugged and talked for awhile. Dang, it is soooooooooo nice to have Josephina back!! I love that woman.

So on those two notes, Mama Oyella and Kwo, I was thinking how much I love those two ladies, Mama Laker and Mama Concy. I think I have mentioned before about some of those ladies, that if we all spoke the same language we would be best friends. Ha. Seriously though, I love them so much. I am praying right now, and if you would like to join me on that, about starting a small group with those four ladies and Mary. Hmmmm....

I just really enjoyed hanging out with the kids today. They are awesome. There are some that I would just take home right away....as Mary always guesses, Piloya Mercy is right on the top of that list. That girl....and Adong Winnie. But really, they are all just so neat. Ojok Moris is still limping a bit from the snake bite but he is doing well. And Okot Michael is slowly getting better....but all the kids...boy oh boy do I love them!!
