Don't splatter anyone with mud...

...just trust me on that one, ok? People can be quite ornery if you get them splattered on accident WHEN IT IS RAINING!! Oh boy. As Simon said, I experienced real Uganda.

Today, I had to remind myself, again, that "I am really in Africa". Still blows me away.

We drove IN the bush...really. No tire tracks prior to us. Grasses were at least 5 feet tall around us. Laloya really did a great job. So did Simon. :) Driving out to Akera Babra's house was definitely an adventure, but it was well worth it. We were able to see the homes being built for her family. Her mom is a single mom with about 4 kids...she is such a godly woman it is crazy. She just oozes the Holy Spirit!!! The rain somewhat destroyed the first house because she hasn't been able to put the roof on, so some of the bricks fell...and the other home can't be built until it stops raining....so pray that the rain won't destroy any other homes or plans.

I've been teaching on the coming of Christ and the meaning behind Christmas. They know it but I want them to feel it and fall in love with the Savior all over again. Waiting...coming.....

I am really liking the older girls of the group...they are kinda opening up to me. I try to sit with them and just hangout. I don't think they are used to adults hanging out with them...lol. They are really a lot of fun, have tons of energy, like to talk and play....but there is something more that they all share and that is the inner turmoil that has hit this village for years. They are old enough to remember A LOT. They were the main ones who raised their hands when I asked if they want to be free from anger and pain. I really want to do a bible study...or a time just to fellowship and let them ask questions and talk. Pray for Mary and me as we are trying to see what would work best. Pray for the girls: Concy, Aol, Isabella, Sharon, Lanyero.

We found out that Mama Gloria is ill....we think it is malaria. She went to the clinic and they told her to get medicine...which is in town...which she has no transport for...so that means she doesn' get it...unless we do....

The rain continues.....
