September Newsletter

Dear Supporters,

Whether you started a new school year, enjoying the beginning of fall or just being blessed by the joy of the LORD, I pray you are all doing well!!

This month’s newsletter is a bit late because I was waiting to get my departure date; however, things are still being figured out and the ticket is not yet officially purchased….but I am still planning on leaving mid to end of October!

God has been faithful! I am reminded of Isaiah 30:15:
“"In repentance and rest is your salvation, in quietness and trust is your strength…”
He has been a true Deliverer and Restorer to my heart, soul and mind. Part of my preparation for my ministry in Uganda was counseling. The LORD provided an amazing woman of God who helped walk with me towards a refreshed and revived relationship with Him. PRAISE HIM!!

During this time of healing and preparation, the LORD has shown me clearly with confirmation from His Word, mentors, supporters and ECM that He wants me to not only minister to children of Uganda but to their mothers. My heart has grown more sensitive to women’s ministry in the past few months and I have been listening to God as He speaks. He is showing me how I can utilize my passions for education, business/leadership training, vocational training, counseling, biblical programs and agriculture in one all encompassing ministry geared towards young mothers ages 15-25 and their children 12 years and younger.

With that being said, the plan is for me to do research prior to leaving as a backbone and vision outline. Then, the first few months in Uganda I will research and get a better understanding of the culture, needs, government, business, ways to reach the people, communication and the finalizing of a plan to bring back as a full project proposal to get funding. This would then lead me to return to the states late spring/early summer of 2010 for a few weeks.

Please continue to pray for this vision as I seek His will!

TE
As I was praying for the support and asking if I will have enough, the LORD shared this Scripture with me:

“ Keep falsehood and lies far from me;
give me neither poverty nor riches,
but give me only my daily bread.
Otherwise, I may have too much and disown you
and say, 'Who is the LORD ?'
Or I may become poor and steal,
and so dishonor the name of my God.”
~ Proverbs 30:8-9

Can I get an AMEN?! :) The LORD has been faithful and has been providing over and over!! PG! As of today, I officially have 91% of my start-up and unofficially 100%! I am still waiting for committed pledges and a bass clarinet to be sold to secure the final amount.

As for monthly support, it is getting there. I am at 65% which really means a little less than $600 a month OR $7,200 a year.

Supporters can choose to support monthly, quarterly or once a year. As long as I know I can count it in and then split it up on my monthly basis—because we all know how much I like budgets, excel and crunching numbers! It can be too fun some days.

Support can be sent to ECM or online.

Thank you!!!
