Praise God Story...first of many....

Today my mom and I went out for lunch to spend some quality time. We have been talking a lot about my future and just hashing out a lot of her questions. She definitely is seeking God's will on all of this.

As we were talking about Uganda and church, a lady come over to us. She said she overheard us talking and wondered if we were Christians. Mom and I both said yes - my mom blurted out "My daughter will be a missionary in Uganda!" The lady then proceeded to say that her and her husband were looking for a church and asked if we knew of any good bible-based churches. I told her about Ridgewood and wanted to give her something with that information. I ran to my car and grabbed an old bulletin from my bible and one of my prayer cards for Uganda. Came back in and gave it to her and her husband. We then talked some more and they gave me their emails.

Then her husband was going to walk back with his wife...he then asked if he could support me going into the field. He said it was a blessing to him to help send people out into the field. He then took out his checkbook and wrote a check to ECM for me, folded it and passed it on to me. I was floored. Actually, I was speechless. I almost started crying..good thing my mom did for me. We parted, gave hugs and praised God together that He ordained all of this.

When they left the restaurant, my mom totally gave glory to God...she knew He was behind that like none other. She right there said she knew it was His will for me to go...that things like this don't just happen. I then looked at the check and was just in awe of the generosity. These people just met me like 5-10 minutes and were willing to support God's kingdom through me.

WHAT?! ARE YOU SERIUOS GOD?

Here is the *other* best part:
When my mom and I were in the car ready to part ways she asked me if I could pray over her. She has never asked me to pray over her - so I did. She then prayed over me. It is now one of my favorite "Mom" memories....how sweet!

God is pouring out peace, joy and happiness. He is so amazingly good.

Praise God!!! :)
